Deposit Return Policy
Upon termination of the tenancy and return of all keys, the landlord or property manager will inspect the premises and determine whether any deductions are applicable. The security deposit will be returned within 30 days after the tenant vacates the property, or within the timeframe required by applicable local laws, whichever is earlier.
Permitted deductions may include unpaid rent, outstanding utility charges where applicable, costs for repairing damage beyond normal wear and tear, and other deductions expressly allowed under the rental agreement and applicable law. An itemized statement of deductions, together with supporting documentation where required, will be provided to the tenant.
The tenant must provide a forwarding address and any necessary payment details to facilitate the return of the deposit. If deductions exceed the security deposit, the tenant may be responsible for the remaining balance where permitted by law.
Important: The 30-day period is a general placeholder, not a universal legal deadline. Before using this policy, replace it with the timeframe and deduction rules required by the laws applicable to your rental property.
